House Tour

It's a bit late, but below are some pictures of our place in Japan. I've gotten several requests for pictures so here they are...

The entryway with lots of storage for shoes.

Our bedroom.

One wall is lined with closets.

We're using this room as a little office. We have one more room almost exactly like this one, but it's a disaster right now. We're using it for storage.

Kitchen.

Here's the living room area. You can see the yukata I'm hand sewing on the floor.

Here you can see our dining area. Lots of delicious meals made by me have been consumed there.

More living area. Unfortunately we don't have a great view. 

Bathroom, which includes a little washing machine.

Tub/shower.

Sink in the water closet.

Our automatic toilet. Lid opens as you approach it, and it automatically flushes when you walk away.

Gettin' Crafty

We spent the day Saturday making earthenware. Below are a few pictures of our craftiness. Our pieces will be painted and fired. We should be able to pick the finished products up in a couple of months.

This week is going to be a busy one. Among other things, I'll be packing for home. I can't believe I'll be home in a week! I'm ecstatic to be going but a little sad Travis has to stay here. 

Oh, and a special thanks to Travis' bro, Steven, for hooking us up with Slingbox. It enables us to watch American TV. I was able to watch Mizzou slaughter Nebraska yesterday, and it was certainly good for my soul. Go Tigers!
