Eight Months!

Oh my, I am so far behind with my blog posts. We have been busy like everyone else, and the thought of blogging just kept seeming too overwhelming. My friend, Julie, wrote a post today, and I feel like it's what I needed to spur me on.

Stella is almost nine months old now, and I'm just now getting around to updating you on 8 months. But, the truth is, I didn't even weigh her or measure her. Terrible, right?! Oh well.

Her 8th month has been pretty exciting. She took her first flight, saw the gorgeous mountains of Colorado, attended a friend's first birthday and is as talkative as ever. One of her favorite things to do is to "yell" and "scream" at strangers everywhere. Once she gets their attention, she gives them a big 'ole grin. It's pretty hilarious, but I must say I'm not loving the extra attention in public everywhere we go!

She is becoming much more fond of solid food now and is starting to get excited when I serve her meals. It's pretty fun to watch, but the one who is enjoying it most in this house is definitely Skittle. She has been benefitting a lot lately.

In Stella's 8th month, Travis had to go to Japan for two weeks. And though I was dreading it so much, it really wasn't all that bad. Of course we missed Travis like crazy, but Stella was a big sweetheart. She even started going to bed much earlier while he was away, and I'm starting to feel somewhat normal again. She's also been napping more predictably, and I can't emphasize enough how much our quality of life has improved because of it!

Fortunately Travis came home just in time for Father's Day. We didn't do a whole lot, but we had a nice time enjoying the day as a family.

Below are a few recent pictures of Stella. She is literally into everything now, but we're taking it in stride.

These monthly photos have become impossible!

Thanks for reading. I'll try to do a better job of updating regularly so you can see this sweet little girl more often!

love it! blogging is not so appealing to me anymore either. when i have free time it isn't what i want to do, but a certain someone (my mom) keeps asking me to! it's nice to have all the pics in one place and keep track of growth and development too.

the pictures are really cute!
